Terms of service

The Narrative Laboratory provides automated, research-grounded screenplay diagnostics. You upload a screenplay, select instruments, pay per analysis (directly or with prepaid credits), and receive a time-limited report that deletes itself within 24 hours. No account is created; your session is anonymous.

• You retain all rights to everything you upload. We claim no ownership, licence, or interest in your screenplay beyond the temporary processing needed to produce your report.
• The report generated for you is yours to keep and use without restriction.
• You must hold the rights to any script you upload (your own work, or work you are authorised to analyse). Uploading someone else's script without authority is a breach of these terms.

• All prices are shown in euros, per instrument and per script-length tier, before you pay. There are no subscriptions and no recurring charges.
• Every price on this site includes VAT. The figure you see is the figure you are charged; no tax is added at checkout.
• Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record; they calculate, collect and remit VAT at your local rate, and your receipt comes from them and is your proof of purchase.
• Prepaid credits are worth €1 of analysis each, never expire, and attach to the anonymous session that purchased or redeemed them (see the credits page for how ownership works without accounts).

• Validation before payment. Malformed or unreadable files are rejected during validation, before you are charged.
• Failed generation. If an analysis fails or times out after payment, credits used for it are automatically refunded to your session. If you paid by card, contact us with your receipt and we will re-run the analysis or refund the payment, at your choice.
• Incomplete reports. If a report is materially incomplete (a purchased instrument missing its results), contact us within 24 hours (before the report expires) and we will re-run or refund the affected instruments.
• Unused credits. Refundable on request at the price paid, within 14 days of purchase, for the unspent balance. Contact hello@manymonkeys.ai with your receipt.
• Completed analyses. A delivered, complete report is a fulfilled digital service and is not refundable merely because you disagree with its findings. The methodology page explains what reports can and cannot tell you before you buy.
• Refunded purchases. When a credit purchase is refunded or charged back, the credits it bought are removed from your balance. If you have already spent some of them, your balance goes negative by that amount, and you cannot spend credits again until it is back above zero. Buying another pack clears the shortfall first. Refunding a pack you have used is not a way to keep the analyses it paid for. Partial refunds are settled by hand; contact us with your receipt.

• Do not upload content that is illegal, or that you have no right to process.
• Do not attempt to probe, overload, or circumvent the service's security or payment mechanisms.
• We may refuse or terminate processing that breaches these terms; where processing was refused before analysis ran, payment for it is refunded.

Reports are automated diagnostics produced by a language model following research-grounded protocols. They are informational tools for your own revision judgement. They are not professional script coverage, legal advice, or a prediction of commercial success, and we do not warrant that any finding is correct. Artistic decisions remain yours.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid for the analysis giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

• We may update these terms; the version in force when you purchase applies to that purchase.
• These terms are governed by the laws of Finland; mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence remain unaffected. If we cannot settle a dispute with you directly, EU consumers may be entitled to refer it to an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) body in their country of residence.
